The same coach trusted by MLB All-Star Mitch Haniger, World Series Champion Daniel Descalso, and hitters across Division I and MLB — now personally coaching 15 high school and college athletes through the same system.
For the first time, he's opening a limited number of spots to high school and college athletes.
Watch the video. Then apply.

Here's what I see over and over with high school and college hitters:
Some kids have a swing that needs real work. They've been given 15 different cues by 15 different coaches and their mechanics are a mess. That's fixable — but only with a real system.
Other kids have a great swing in the cage. Then the game starts and they can't do it when it counts. That's not a swing problem — that's a mental game problem, an approach problem, a performance problem. And almost nobody coaches it.
Most of the hitters I work with? It's both.
The swing needs cleaning up AND nobody's ever taught them how to actually compete in an at-bat. How to handle an 0-for-2 start. How to make adjustments between pitches. How to trust their hands when the game speeds up.
Most hitting coaches only coach one thing: the swing. Tee work. Soft toss. Cage sessions.
I didn't spend 25 years in the SEC, Pac-12, and MLB just teaching athletes how to swing. I taught them how to HIT. The mechanics AND the mental game. The cage work AND what happens when the lights come on.
That's what Built Different is.

"Coach Matt Lisle is undoubtedly one of the top hitting minds in the game today. His program is not only contemporary and supported by science, but he's able to convey his message to students in a way that is easy to comprehend."
- Jake McKinley, Major League Field Coordinator, Seattle Mariners

Your athlete's first session is a 45-minute 1:1 call with Coach Lisle. But we're not just looking at the swing.
We assess the COMPLETE hitter:
mechanics, approach, mental game, how they handle adversity, what their process looks like from the on-deck circle to the batter's box, and what happens after a bad at-bat.
Most coaches look at a swing video and give you three cues. I look at the whole picture and tell you exactly what's costing your kid the most — whether that's mechanical, mental, or both.

Custom programming for YOUR hitter. If the swing needs work, we fix it — same progression I used with SEC and MLB hitters. Spacing, separation, direction, posture, force application.
But we're also building the mental framework: pre-at-bat routines, breathing and reset techniques, how to approach different counts, how to hunt pitches, how to trust your hands when the game speeds up.
The mechanical work makes the swing better. The mental work makes the HITTER better. Most programs only do one. Built Different does both.

What happens in the third at-bat of a Tuesday night game when they're 0-for-2 and the pitcher just struck them out on a breaking ball?"
That's what we train. How to compete pitch by pitch. How to flush a bad at-bat and show up locked in for the next one. How to make adjustments between at-bats — not wait until next week's lesson. How to handle slumps without losing confidence. How to be the hitter the team trusts in a big moment.
This is what I coached at the D1 and pro level. It's the most important part of hitting development. And it's the part almost nobody teaches.

Your athlete leaves with two systems, not one. A mechanical system: how to self-diagnose their swing, what drills to go to, how to train on their own. AND a mental system: their at-bat process, how to handle failure, how to reset, how to compete with confidence every day.
For HS kids heading to college: arrive as a complete hitter a college coach can plug right into the lineup.
For college hitters: the framework for in-season adjustments that separates starters from bench players.
